    How to Use

Google Slides doesn’t support SVG uploads directly — the standard workaround is to embed it inside a PPTX file first.

    1. Pick an icon from the browser or upload your SVG. Optionally change its color using the color picker.
    2. Click Download PPTX.
    3. Upload the .pptx file to Google Drive.
    4. Double-click to open it in Google Slides.
    5. Select a shape — you can now recolor, resize, or copy it to any other presentation.

Tip: To recolor after importing, right-click the shape → Format options → change the fill color.

SVGs with gradients, masks, or embedded fonts may not convert perfectly — flat icon-style SVGs work best.

The fastest way to drop a crisp icon into Slides, Docs, Notion, Figma, or anywhere else — no file management needed.

    1. Select an icon and use the color picker to set your brand color if needed.
    2. Choose a size — 1024px covers most use cases; go higher for print or large displays.
    3. Click the clipboard icon next to the file to copy that icon, or Download ZIP for multiple icons at once.
    4. Paste with Ctrl+V / Cmd+V directly into your app.

Tip: Use 2048px if you’re pasting into a slide that will be exported as a high-res image or printed.

PNG is raster — individual shapes won’t be editable after pasting. Use PPTX or WMF/EMF if you need that.

WMF is a vector format that Google Drawings can open and ungroup into individually editable shapes — useful when the PPTX route doesn’t preserve all paths.

    1. Convert your SVG to WMF and download it.
    2. Upload the .wmf to Google Drive.
    3. Right-click the file → Open withGoogle Drawings.
    4. In Drawings, click the graphic → right-click → Ungroup to access individual shapes.
    5. Copy the ungrouped shapes and paste into Google Slides.
    6. Or in Slides: Insert → Image → Google Drive to embed it directly.

Tip: After ungrouping in Drawings, select all shapes and regroup before copying — it’s easier to position in Slides.

WMF is 16-bit and doesn’t support transparency well. Try EMF if colors look wrong.

EMF (Enhanced Metafile) is the 32-bit successor to WMF — it handles color and transparency more accurately, and is the recommended format for complex SVGs.

    1. Convert your SVG to EMF and download it.
    2. Upload the .emf to Google Drive.
    3. Right-click the file → Open withGoogle Drawings.
    4. Select the graphic → right-click → Ungroup to get editable shapes.
    5. Copy and paste into Google Slides, or use Insert → Image → Google Drive.
    6. To recolor a shape: select it → fill color bucket in the toolbar.

Tip: EMF preserves more detail than WMF for icons with fine strokes or multiple overlapping paths.

If Google Drawings shows a blank canvas, the MIME type may not have been set correctly — try re-uploading the file.

Files are processed securely and never stored. All conversions are ephemeral.
